CUMMING, Ga. — Mr. Gregory David Allagood, 46, of Cumming, GA, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, April 2, 2017.

Mr. Allagood was born November 7, 1970, in Dade County, FL, to Joyce Triplett Allagood and the late Irwin Hines Allagood. Gregory attended North Point Church in Alpharetta, GA, and worked as a technician at AT&T.

He proudly served our country as a aerial videographer in the United States Air Force at Hurlburt and the 1st CTCS at Charleston AFB, SC between 1993 until 1997.

He is survived by his mother, Joyce Triplett Allagood of Mount Airy; three brothers, Michael Cartledge of Mount Airy, Jeffrey Allagood of Hollywood, FL, and Marty Allagood of Cumming, GA; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Allagood of Clyde; four nephews, Scott Cartledge and Eric Cartledge, both of Raleigh, Rusty Luckett of Lauderdale-by-the-Sea, FL, and Brian Luckett and his wife, Christina, of Oakland Park, FL; two nieces, Rachel Cartledge of Raleigh and Kelsey Allagood of Washington, D.C.; and a beloved cat, Cosmo. In addition to his father, Mr. Allagood was preceded in death by a stepsister, Linda Luckett; and a stepbrother, Sidney Allagood.

A celebration of life service was held Sunday, April 9, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church, with Dr. Darrell Tate officiating. Burial will followed in the Indian Grove Family Cemetery, with military honors by the VFW Memorial Honor Guard.

The family received friends Sunday from 1:30 until 2:30 p.m. at Highland Park Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Highland Park Baptist Church Building Fund, 1327 Grove Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030; or a charity of the donor’s choice.   1. Even though I never met Gregory, I am very sorry to hear a fellow aerial videographer left us at such a young age. RIP Gregory. My sympathies to the family.
