On 26 April 1968, Technical Sergeant Russell Rickland Fyan was serving with the 600th Photo Squadron, 7th Air Force, in Thua Thien Province, South Vietnam.
On that day, TSGT Fyan was killed in the crash of the fixed-wing aircraft in which he was a crew member. His body was recovered.
