All past and present Combat Camera people! We need you help. We are working to put together a permanent Combat Camera exhibit/display at the March Field Museum.We want to include the tools-of-our-trade from the past.
For example: Still photo equipment: Speed Graphic, Graflex XL (I have one that I will gladly donate] Rolleiflex, Nikon camera, Pentax camera, Film boxes i.e. Kodachrome, Tri-X, etc. Motion Picture camera equipment: Eyemo, Filmo, Canon Scoopic, Arriflex, anyone have an old Mitchell? Video still & motion equipment: Sony Mavica (Another one I will donate), Canon still video, Panasonic, Canon and you get the idea. Accessories like tripods, definitely lenses and all that stuff we drug with us around the world!
Some of you may recall that we tried to get the Air Force Museum at Wright Patterson to establish a Combat Camera exhibit to no avail. The March Field Museum was suggested and they are very willing to give us a permanent display. One caveat, the items must be donated and not given “on-loan”.If you have some of the items we are looking for and are willing to part with them now instead of having your families figure out what to do with all that “photo stuff” you left them when you transitioned to taking heavenly instead of earthly photos here is your opportunity.
