We found out a few days ago that Dave Shaffer, who graduated from the Syracuse Military Photojournalism program in 1977 passed away in 2014. Below is his published obituary.
SHAFFER, David Earl of Seminole, passed away in his sleep on Aug. 2, 2014. He was born in Princeton, West Va on Jan. 16, 1953. Dave was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend and will be missed by many. He was survived by his wife Debbie; son Zach (Angel); daughter Leah (John); son Ben; and three grandchildren. A celebration of life was held Aug. 16 at 4 pm at the clubhouse at 400 Glennes Ln. Dunedin, FL 34698.
Dave was in the Air Force for ten years and the Army National Guard for 7 years. He had a good life. Not always easy but definitely blessed.
