Stewart Hurd

Stewart Warren Hurd, 69, died March 23, 2012, at a Lincoln healthcare facility. He was born September 2, 1942, in Rochester, NH, the son of Lester and Marguerite (Stewart) Hurd. Stewart was a photographer in the U.S. Air Force for twenty years. After retiring from the military, Stewart worked at Hannaford for twenty years. He enjoyed fishing and loved music. He was a loving father, grandfather and friend.

Stewart is survived by a daughter, Shannon Marston and her boyfriend, Jeff Pilotte, of Clinton; a daughter-in-law, Penny Hurd, of Lincoln; a brother, Carl Hurd and his wife, Joyce, of Woodstock, VT; three grandchildren, Shane Hurd and his fiance, Barbara Pascale, Ryan Hurd and his wife, Stephanie, and Storm Marston; three great-grandchildren, Joseph Pascale, Shay Hurd and Kaybren Hurd and one on the way, Khloe Hurd; several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his wife, Mary “Chris” Hurd; a son, Sean Hurd; and his companion, Sandra Plourde.

Friends were able to call from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Monday, March 26, at the Clay Funeral Home, 7 Lee Rd., Lincoln, where military honors were held at 7:30 p.m. by the Lincoln Veteran’s Honor Guard. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the American Cancer Society. Donations may be left at the funeral home.

  1. I have recently learned about and have seen some of the work of Mr. Hurd, as a combat cameraman by way of two gentlemen, Mr. John Evans and Mr. Steven Wilson. To the family of Mr. Hurd, I am sorry for your loss, and I thank you for his service to our country. God Bless.

    1. Hi, I am the grandson of Stewart warren Hurd. Shane warren Hurd is my name, I also have his collection of photographs when he was in the air force. Hundreds of photos.
