Facebook has a wealth of places where you can connect to the past and present

Many of us have heard of the social media site Facebook for connecting to family and friends, however there are many that aren’t aware that it’s also a wealth of groups and pages that allow us to connect to our present and past. Here’s a listing of some that you should consider liking or joining. Some you will be able to join right away and others will require approval by an administrator of the page or group. Also to join any of these groups you’ll have to have a Facebook account which is free. So, join in!

Improving Military Visual Content
Mission: To match passionate young service members with talented story tellers from across the services and to allow them to discuss previous, current and future projects with other passionate people.

Purpose: Often times service members talented in the visual arts are stationed away from troops. With the current “jack of all trade” trend in services, a young service member may not have leaders that are experts in certain aspects of story telling. End State: A place for constructive conversation and critique of work to make us all better.

Who to invite?
–Marines, Airmen, Sailors, Soldiers and Coast Guardsmen who work in visual arts, and mentors who will help us all improve. Mission: To match passionate young service members with talented story tellers from across the services and to allow them to discuss previous, current and future projects with other passionate people.
